Height Light
24 - 30 in. Partial Sun Late Summer Blue 3 - 8

An aster native to the east coast and upper mid-West preferring to grow in light shade of woodlands. An erect plant that tends to arch over with the weight of it flowers which are larger than other native asters. Reducing it by half in early summer will make it bushier and more floriferous.

Asters perform best in rich, evenly moist soil and full sun. Give them lots of room to grow; good air circulation will help to prevent powdery mildew. To maintain their health and vigor, divide plants every couple of years in the spring.
