6 - 8 ft. Sun Mid Summer Blue 5 - 9

Tight, compact growth, thick fuzzy grey foliage. Flower is soft lavender-blue flowers, with orange eyes  as close to clear, true blue as a Buddleia comes. Butterfly bushes attract a huge number of pollinators including, of course, buttflies. Cornwall Blue is a large variety and can reach 7 feet in the right location.

Ordinary garden soil will do nicely. Fairly drought tolerant. Increasing the alkalinity of the soil may improve both growth and floral quality. In the north, this shrub-like perennial is best cut back to about 9 inches in the early spring. They will quickly reach their mature height. Buddleias tend to break dormancy late in the spring, so don't worry if you don't see anything happening with them when your other shrubs start to leaf-out. These are very durable and reliable plants.
