A very strong grower. White flowers are slightly fragrant with gray-green leaves. Slightly smaller than other colors Attracts butterflies, blooms mid-summer till frost and provides winter interest and bird cover through the winter. Butterfly bushes attract a huge number of pollinators including, of course, butterflies.

Ordinary garden soil will do nicely. Fairly drought tolerant. Increasing the alkalinity of the soil may improve both growth and floral quality. In the north, this shrub-like perennial is best cut back to about 9 inches in the early spring. They will quickly reach their mature height. Buddleias tend to break dormancy late in the spring, so don't worry if you don't see anything happening with them when your other shrubs start to leaf-out. These are very durable and reliable plants.
