Dwarf Larkspur adds beauty to early spring with plentiful, blue-purple, spurred flowers. Its deeply-lobed leaves alternate sparsely along the flowering stalks. The species name refers to its distinctive three-pointed, or horned, seed pods. Long-tongued bees, hummingbirds and butterflies are visitors to the blossoms.

Care:

This delphinium is best grown in fertile, humus rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. Performs well in alkaline soils. Appreciates some part afternoon sun-dappled shade in hot summer climates. Prefers climates with cool summer temperatures.
