Old-time favorite with puffy, heart-shaped pink flowers on arching racemes. A very substantial 3 foot plus plant that is a long-lived garden classic. Can be interplanted with hosta or ferns to fill the space in summer. One of the oldest but still irreplaceable perennials in cultivation.

Care:

Requires evenly moist soil with lots of organic content to enhance the water retention. Plant in a protected location with little or no direct sun. Goes dormant after blooming in most areas outside the far north (regular water will delay dormancy). Protect from late spring frosts.

Other Attributes:
Pollinator Friendly Deer Resistant
Good cut flower Attracts hummingbirds
