This shorter echinacea bears numerous clear pink blossoms with drooping petals and a large, bronze-orange cone. Excellent for the garden or containers. The dried seed heads also provide architectural interest in the winter. Allow some spent blooms to remain on the plants in fall since their seeds provide winter food for finches and other birds.

Care:

Echinacea are native to central and eastern U.S. and are well adapted to withstand severe conditions. Light, loamy soil is best but any well-drained dirt will do. They like it sunny and hot. Deadheading spent flowers significantly prolongs their bloom time. Once established, they are quite drought tolerant.
