Clusters of vibrant purple-pink flowers atop purple-red stems sets off this compact, upright clumps of deep blue-green, serrated foliage. Strong, shorter stems resist flopping. If left standing, they provide winter interest and food for birds.

Care:

As its common name implies, it is very easy to grow given average to poor soil and a decent amount of sunlight. They tend to become lanky if to rich or too shaded. Divide every 3 to 4 years to deal with a dying center. Can be cut by half in early summer to increase flowers and keep more compact.
